Do you have a band that sums up the rhythm and magic of your spirit? The rebelliousness of your youth and the authenticity of what makes you move? Not the band you made out to on the stereo, the radio, the eight-track, or the cassette deck, people. The band you experienced LIVE.

Some of you were lucky enough to have a local band that did all that for you. Music, fun, friendship—sex, drugs, and rock and roll.

Yoopers who grew up in the 1960s and ’70s on the Keweenaw Peninsula had Dodge Street. The band played on, into the new millennium. Roger and Reed, two of the early members, are gone, but the tunes live on. Roger’s buddy Bill Brotherton, just shared his mother lode of Dodge Street hits.

Dodge Street shares the cover tunes not for profit but for historical purposes, so that everyone who remember the mood and the music of the Calumet Armory, Houghton Powerhouse and Laurium Teen Center dances, or who boogied with Dodge Street at The Golden Pheasant, The Town Pump, The Michigan House, Al’s Halfway, The Midway—and everywhere else the band played from Wisconsin to Florida and back again, can take a trip back in time.
